VIP2 University
is a 16-hour curriculum led by Jon Harrison (a former executive at Caterpillar Inc.) and a faculty comprised of Jon’s colleagues who will challenge you, inspire you and immerse you in the VIP2 philosophy. Jon “lived” this leadership style in his global assignments in the United States, Australia, Japan and eventually to North Little Rock when, in 2009, he was selected to develop and lead Caterpillar’s new, world-class facility due to his repeated success in building high-performing and high-employee-satisfaction work environments. In 2011, Jon left corporate America to focus on helping underappreciated and overlooked people. VIP2 is part of Jon’s new mission, as most leaders have had little to no formal leadership training, and the people they lead are impacted greatly by their actions. The faculty of VIP2 University is a diverse group of leaders from all sectors of the economy who have been in your shoes … not trainers who lack “real world” experience.
Content over the two-day session includes:
- The relationship between work environment and the “bottom line”
- How to hire values-driven people (where are they?)
- Why “core values” must be the foundation of your work environment and why you must
hold people accountable to those values
- The VIP2 perspective on new-hire orientation / training
- What does “being informed” look like (communications, etc.)
- Truly knowing your people: The power in unified diversity, understanding personality types,
and successfully leading both “millennials” and your “seasoned” people
- Managing conflict (keeping the passion positive)
- Avoiding burnout (keeping the passion burning for you and those that work for you)
- Leaving a true legacy as a VIP2 Leader
