|
The Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce has contracted the services of Chauncey Holloman to revamp programming for as well as direct the 33rd annual Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week September 14th through 22nd 2015. Holloman, a 26 year old entrepreneur, mentor, public speaker, and a community servant, began accruing business experience at age 6 in her mother’s t-shirt business. By age 15, her company Harlem Lyrics LLC would become the first project to be funded through the Arkansas Minority Women Entrepreneur Program. She attended The Tuck School of Business, Minority Business Executive Program at Dartmouth as well as University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business, Minority-Owned Business Executive Program. Holloman’s list of accolades and accomplishments include Black Enterprise Magazine, Elevator Pitch Competition National 1st Place Winner 2006, Minority Business Development Council – Dallas Region - Emerging Business Leader (EBL) Winner 2007, Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup Business Plan Competition – Winner, Arkansas 2008, and a host of additional honors. She is currently the CEO of Harlem Lyrics LLC and the Marketing Specialist of Ndeavors Inc. The Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce has been a partner in the area's MED Week since its inception in 1983. In 1990, the Chamber assumed responsibility for all local programming. This partnership reflects the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to assess and evolve its value proposition to members and the surrounding region’s businesses. The 33rd Annual MED Week will include for the first time an elevator pitch competition and ongoing business education scholarships through the Venture Center for minority entrepreneurs. The full week of programming will be announced in June.
