Chambers and State Legislators Present Checks to Reward Schools |

Twenty of State’s 204 Rewards Received by Schools in Pulaski County WHAT: Public schools in Pulaski County, both traditional and charter, accounted for 20 of Arkansas’s 204 Reward Schools, totaling $714,752.64 of the state’s $7 Million total. Those schools will be recognized and presented with ceremonial checks to honor and commemorate this outstanding accomplishment. WHO: Recipient School Superintendents, Principals, Teachers, and Parents State Legislators Representing each School’s District Jay Chesshir, President & CEO of the Little Rock Regional Chamber Cathy Tuggle, Owner/Principal of Apartment Hunters & 2018 Chamber Board Chairman Ashley Hight, Executive Vice President, North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce Alicia Gillen, Executive Director, Maumelle Chamber of Commerce Colleen Carr, Economic Development Director, Sherwood Chamber of Commerce WHEN: Monday, May 21, 2018 at 12:00pm WHERE: Little Rock Regional Chamber 200 E Markham Road, Little Rock, AR 72201 Parking available in front of building along Markham or behind the building in parking lot accessible from eastbound lane of La Harpe Blvd. WHY: The Arkansas School Recognition Program was created to provide financial awards to public schools that achieve high student performance, student academic growth, and high school graduation rates. Publicly recognizing these achievements provides further motivation and encouragement for the success of public schools and their administrators, in addition to financial award resources. ###
