Manufacturing Day and Technical Careers Trade Show

WHAT: Presented by Entergy Arkansas, the Little Rock Regional Chamber, University of Arkansas – Pulaski Tech, and the City of Maumelle will host students and employers for a technical careers expo event held on Manufacturing Day, October 5, 2018 as part of an effort to change student’s perceptions about technical careers and draw attention to the outstanding opportunities they provide in Central Arkansas.

EXHIBITS: More than 950 students from across Central Arkansas will have an opportunity to interact with 25 vendors and their hands-on exhibits ranging from virtual welders, laser demonstrations, wind energy displays, injection molding processes, and robotics demonstrations among many others.

WHEN: October 5, 2018 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM The bulk of students will be there around 10:00AM.

WHERE: University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College, South Campus 13000 Interstate 30 Little Rock, AR 72210

WHY: There is an increasing demand for highly skilled professionals in the manufacturing and technical sectors who can design, program and operate technology. Manufacturing Day is designed to introduce young people in Central Arkansas to the manufacturing sector and career opportunities, and demonstrate the contributions manufacturing makes to the local economy.
