Little Rock Regional Chamber to Partner with SCORE for Business Counseling

Little Rock, Ark. (April 24, 2019) – The Little Rock Regional Chamber announced a new partnership with the local SCORE chapter of Little Rock. Little Rock SCORE is a resource partner of the Small Business Administration that provides free and confidential business counseling tailored to meet the needs of your small business. The chamber will host office hours for SCORE mentors to meet with small businesses and potential small businesses. SCORE mentors are seasoned and successful business owners who volunteer their time to guide other businesses.

Starting on Tuesday, May 7, SCORE mentors will be available at the chamber every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A small business or aspiring small business will be able to meet with a mentor in thirty-minute increments during the two-hour period. To set your appointment, please email or call Brandon Campbell, the chamber’s Director of Small Business & Inclusion. His e-mail address is bcampbell@littlerockchamber.com and phone number is 501-377-6031.

“Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy,” said Jay Chesshir, President & CEO of the LRRC. “Having SCORE mentors at our offices will not only aid small businesses but will provide a starting point for aspiring start-ups. We are grateful to SCORE for this partnership and look forward to its success.”

“Little Rock SCORE’s ultimate goal is to help the Arkansas business community grow through the FREE counseling they provide and the education resources they have available,” said Tim Zimmerman, Chapter Chair of Little Rock SCORE, a resource partner of the SBA. “Partnering with the LRRC will help SCORE reach out to more established small businesses and those considering starting a small business. Their network is vast, and it affords our volunteers the ability to meet and assist a multitude of entrepreneurs, which in turn allows us to provide guidance to help small businesses achieve success.”

“SCORE’s new partnership with the LRRC is a great opportunity for small businesses here in Little Rock,” said Edward Haddock, District Director for SBA’s Arkansas District Office. “SCORE can offer businesses of any stage, no cost mentoring and advice from subject matter experts both locally and nationally.”
