Sophie Ozier
General Manager
Arkansas Travelers

Sophie moved to Arkansas in 2017 to accept a position with the Arkansas Travelers as a Corporate Event Planner. She was later promoted to Director of Group Sales & Promotions, then Assistant General Manager and was asked to step in as the Interim General Manager during the 2021 season. After that season, Sophie was promoted to the position permanently, making her the first female General Manager for the Travelers and one of the youngest GMs in all of Minor League Baseball at age 27. In 2024, the Travelers Front Office welcomed over 342,000 fans into Dickey Stephens Park and the Travelers finished the season winning their first Texas League Championship since 2008.

Sophie was born and raised in a small town in central Illinois called Cerro Gordo. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Webster University in St. Louis, earning a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Media Communications. During her time in St. Louis, Sophie interned with Fox Sports Midwest, the St. Louis Blues and the River City Rascals. Sophie spends her free time cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs and spending her off-days with her husband Brendan and their dog Hank.

Ruth Whitney

Ruth H. Whitney is a lawyer, entrepreneur, and CEO of inVeritas and its subsidiary, Select Litigation LLC. With over 30 years of expertise in law, government, politics and public opinion, she has been a strategic advisor to Fortune 100 companies, prominent professional services firms, state and federal governments, law firms, nonprofit organizations, and industry associations.

Ruth graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a member of the American Bar Association. In 2024, Ruth received her Artificial Intelligence Certification from the Said Business School, Oxford University and consults with clients on the use and best practices in AI integration.

Before founding inVeritas and Select Litigation, Ruth served as counsel and chief of staff to then Attorney General Mike Beebe. Ruth has extensive legal and management experience, including over 10 years as a healthcare and administrative lawyer with the Arkansas Department of Human Services and as Counsel to Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard.

Ruth has been featured as a high-profile business leader in Arkansas Money & Politics and the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. Ruth is a guest writer for Talk Business and has served on numerous boards of directors including the Arkansas Cinema Society; Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance; and VIC Technology Venture Development. She currently serves as Chair-elect of the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, President of the national Advocacy Group, and is a member of Fifty for the Future and the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce. Ruth is a proud mom and lawyer to her singer songwriter son, Noah and her filmmaker daughter, Hannah. She is also a passionate philanthropist to many non-profit organizations.

Lauren Dickey is a Principal and the Director of Interior Design at WER Architects. Lauren started her journey as an intern at WER 13 years ago. Three years ago, Lauren was named the first female partner in WER’s 47 year history. One of only a handful of women in the state of Arkansas to be named a partner at an architecture firm, Lauren is committed to seeing more women in leadership roles.

Working with Architect Holly Vetsch, Lauren co-leads the outreach program, Building Momentum, which is dedicated to improving access to careers in Architecture and Interior Design with an important emphasis: encouraging female students to enter the Architecture and Interior Design workforce.

Lauren is currently chair-elect of the National American Society of Interior Design: Environment, Health and Wellness Committee, marrying both her passion for leadership and desire to educate clients and the public on environmentally responsible Interior Design.
